Calls to action are often buttons, images or hyperlinks that encourage the user to interact, to click. They can be linked to a purchase, a registration, a response, a behavior, etc.
What is a call to action?
A button, link or phrase in a site that asks the visitor to take action by signing up, subscribing or purchasing a product. For your website and e-commerce business to be successful, you’ll need a call-to-action button or link that is easy to follow, even for non-computer people.
The conversion rate of your e-commerce site will depend on how easy your site is to navigate and how much it impacts your customers. Ultimately, you’re looking to convert traffic into sales, and in addition to a call-to-action button or link, you’ll need a great website to attract content that will draw your visitors in.
Call to ActionAlthough many web pages miss the call to action, it is actually a key element of almost every web page, especially on an e-commerce site. The call to action is basically to direct the user on what to do next. If there is no clear call to action on the page, the user is likely to leave that page rather than sign up for a newsletter or purchase a product.
For example, if a user comes to your blog about meditation and reads an article, if that article lacks a call to action, the reader will almost certainly finish the article, then leave your site. If, on the other hand, you have a call to action that asks them to sign up for a meditation class, or even just read more articles, the reader is likely to stay on your site.
